DONT FORGET THAT YOU REMEMBER

Five foot seven escaped zoo animal in a Whole Foods parking lot

Explaining to the IRS that I shouldn't be explaining to the IRS that being

Is a job.

Haven't you ever held out your hand?

Did you ever feel ashamed?

Now

Meet my eyes in this lifetime.

Merging the mirrors of self

Fetish for French cafés

Cursive writing in public schools

Shopping at local, Black owned bookstores

That kid just called me a

Dinosaur.

Mistakes are one of my best mentors

I ate my worry

& felt nourished

I feel free & I see your freedom

I do not search for it

I am love.

A cactus held my phone as I danced in the desert

I hold myself.

Sure, I still have bruises

AND I AM HEALING.

I see you and I say

I know that flower.
